The maids probably think it is litter or something. I just waited until the maids were off the lot before my sims ate leftovers or snacks. They don't throw away juice drinks though, unless they are left on counters/tables/floor as far as I've seen. I agree to what you've said, and in those days my Sims probably would have perished had they not eaten snacks whenever (I wasn't terribly good at keeping on top of my Sim's motives in those days). It's just that Lucy Hanby had already initiated negative interactions on Cassandra Goth, and showing no sign of improvement. Whether or not it is an actual coding quirk, this was still dismissed as unacceptable behaviour. As far as I was concerned, Lucy was there to annoy Cassandra at least as much as she was there to work, so I thought she might as well enjoy losing her job.
