I'm sorry, but it's confirmed that granduncle is the more proper and correct term than great-uncle. Great usually refers to how many generations up the uncle is. Such as great-granduncle = the brother of your great grandparent. A granduncle = you grandparents brother. So whoever changed it back, I just wanted to let you know what the correct terms it actually was. I know people usually use great-uncle, even I used to when I was younger. According to what I've just looked up on the wikipedia, both terms are correct. ::Yes, but it never made sense to me. We don't say "great-father" for our grandfathers or "great-great-father" for our great-grandfathers... Why do we say it with our granduncles? Uh... ::::What I was trying to say was it's confusing on why people use great-uncle instead of granduncle. Granduncle makes way more sense. Grandfather and granduncle fit together very well.
