Is it true that Mrs. Crumplebottom actually smacks other Sims with her purse. Whenever she sees any of my Sims doing romantic interactions, she ignores it completely. All she does is lecture Sims for trying to interact with her, strip naked, go swimming, changing into their underwear. She also responds when other Sims put soap into fountains. Her hobbies include playing cards, bowling and drinking at the bar. :She smacks public kissers and WooHooers in my game, so if she is ignoring your Sims, I would have some concern. Go to C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 2 + Your Latest Expansion/Stuff Pack\TSData\Res\Objects. There should be a file called "objects.package". Check to see what date it was modified. Now put your CD in (the one you run the game with), go to My Computer/Computer, right-click on it and select "Explore". Open up the file called "compressed.zip" and click on "Res", and then "Objects". If you have the deluxe editions, look in EP2 (with Deluxe) or SP4 (Double Deluxe). If the date in the Program Files location differs from the one in your CD, chances are the file has become corrupted. I bring this up because Mrs. CrumpleBottom's character file is located in the objects.package file, and that file is commonly corrupted. If it is corrupted, copy the objects.package file from the CD and replace the one in the Program Files location.
