:Since family ties are stored in the Neighborhoods.package file and not the character file of the Sim, I don't think this will cause game corruption. However, I would still refrain from doing so, because the exact nature of these NPCs are unknown. Make your objects.package file read-only and backup your neighborhood before attempting.
