As a resident of the state of Arizona, I can tell you that no part of Phoenix looks like that. If anything, Oasis Springs looks like a more rural version of Kingman with a landscape somewhat like Grand Canyon, areas of Black Canyon near the Hoover Dam, and the southern part of Glen Canyon around and south of the Glen Canyon Dam.

:I've changed the opening to refer to the Southwest US collectively, rather than a specific location.
