Could Shark be secretly gay?[edit source]
Now, before anyone starts lashing out at me for this question, let me explain. A patch that came out for Seasons a few months back brought forth the Attraction System. Whenever I have Shark as a Young Adult, every time the System activated for him, it was towards a male. I've had the pizza delivery man, a French explorer, several of the Young Adults in town, and the mailman, to name a few, all guys. All of them activated it for several reasons (example: the system activated between Shark and Sinbad Rotter, due to both sharing at least one trait.). He does have traits that indicate he could be a "naughty" sort, but it never says anything about women. It could be he is secretly attracted to men, but stays in the closet for fear his family won't accept him for it. If they don't accept him, he might not be able to be a part of the "family business". - I don't think he is homosexual on purpose. Some premade Sims have predetermined gender preference, and mostly they are the married ones. If Sims don't have gender preference at the beginning of the game, story progression might make them develop their gender preference. Shark doesn't have predetermined gender preference, so I think, in your case, Shark's preference was set to be male. Nikel Talk – Vote! 04:34, May 9, 2013 (UTC)
- Well i think it depends from game to game... first time i played Twinbrook he died of electrocution as a teen... other times he got with women, namely Blaise Kindle and Jade Greenwood . The time he got with Blaise i shortened Teen lifespan to 7 days to make it more "realistic", and also modified the SP to making it such there were teen pregnancies\marriages and stuff like that. When he got with Jade i used normal lifespan and did not tinker with the SP settings. 94.37.72.78 (talk) 14:23, December 28, 2014 (UTC)
- If I understand the Attraction system, it scores based on trait compatibility, not gender. He certainly is Flirty, and does not mind in the slightest if a male Sim flirts with him. But I think that the invisible orientation metric is neutral, affected only by whom he has flirtatious or romantic interactions. On the other hand, styling him a "womanizer" in the write up seems a bit... limited, as I can attest from experience that he's just as happy to "manize" - which isn't a word, but you know what I mean. 74.83.2.252 (talk) 09:08, October 7, 2016 (UTC)
