::I did some research on this and even though most sources are fairly contradicting to one another, the majority seem to agree that it's been canceled (or simply never went on from the pre-production phase of filming). [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1482462/ Good old IMDb] has a page for a ''The Sims'' film saying it is (or, more likely, was) supposed to be released in 2012, but I believe the page is only still there because the film rights were purchased.
