::Seasons is not the last EP. There's still the unannounced University Themed EP and at least one more after that along with another Stuff Pack or two after "decades". They wouldn't keep doing expansion surveys if they wasn't planning on expanding the life of TS3 through 2013. Anyways, the earliest The Sims 4 would be announced would be E3 or Gamescom 2013. It would still most likely be a year away at that time. The Sims lasted 4 years, Sims 2 was 5 years so TS3 will also be 5 years and maybe even 6.
