Merge?

Hi all. Today I noticed that there was a Simpedia. We should merge with them, especially since there is no one here anymore. I don't know any of the "official" ways to suggest it, but since there are so few people on this site (mainly me nowadays) I think it would be most beneficial to combine. What do you think? M. H. Where is Everyone?

Hello? Where is everyone? This place is empty! Cyberstrike2000x 22:50, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Perhaps The Sims doesn't have a large online community? Are there any forums where new members could be invited from? Angela talk 23:15, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Yo

Hiya, im amthysteyes2 and i have been updating this wiki for about a month or so. this place is empty, but im trying to raise awareness. the best place to find people is http://thesims2.ea.com/ trouble is, i cant update the front page. please come on someone else. its getting lonely here. contact me eamm13@hotmail.com and give me a hand! 04 June 07 amthysteyes2

Hey there. I'm User:Mhavril39 and I am new here. I have tried to distribute the web address for this site on the BBS on thesims2.ea.com before, but unfortunatley you can't just post a thread about anything unless it is in the proper category, otherwise it is removed. This wouldnt seem to be a problem, except on the BBS, people only hang out in the "General Disscussion" boards, or boards on recent Expansion Packs. Because of this, no one ever see a site thread becasue it has to be in a category that users never look at anymore... :-( I have, however, tried to make some good contributions to this site, like adding photos and information boxes for all the characters made by Maxis. Some good examples of my work are Don Lothario, or Mrs. Crumplebottom.

Amtheysteyes2-- I too, have tried to spread the word, but got no-where. So far i've gone around emailing the authors of large threads asking if i can post it on the wiki in there name, to raise awareness, but thats not worked. All I can really do is post the site in my signature Amthysteyes2 11:01, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Wikia Gaming footer

I went ahead and added a Wikia Gaming footer to the bottom of the Main Page. We're trying to get Wikia's gaming wikis more linked with each other. It's not mandatory, so you can remove it if you really hate it, but it would be appreciated if you didn't :). You can change the links to point to any other wikia wikis you like or cooperate with. This is disgusting....

Have you seen some of the pages on this site? For example, Bella Goth, Summerdream Family, H&M Fashion Stuff and The Sims (Consle) (spelling....) to name a few.

I think we can turn this wiki into something good. --Kuriza 08:13, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Main Page design

Hullo! I'm Kirkburn, a Wikia Gaming Helper, and I have a suggestion to make regarding the Main Page. You may be interested in stealing some code from the Wikia Starter wiki which is the current new wiki base design. It makes content a bit easier to add and is easily expanded. Keep up the great work! Wikia Gaming IRC channel

Hullo! I am Kirkburn, your friendly local Wikia Gaming Helper!

You may be interested to know there is a Wikia gaming IRC channel, #wikia-gaming on chat.freenode.net, where you can hop on, ask for help from users of other gaming wikis, or offer your own experiences. If you are not familiar with IRC clients, you can access it from http://irc.wikia.com/gaming.

Different people may be on sporadically, but we organize weekly chats at a fixed time so we can get the most number of people online at the same time to ask and answer questions, or just to hang out. The admins of some of Wikia's biggest gaming wikis (e.g. WoW, Halo) often attend them. You can find the time for the next chat by following this link. [Interwiki transcluding is disabled]

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me! Kirkburn (talk) 22:23, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Anyone still here? Worth registering?

Hi, I've been poking around this site and it looks like it could be a decent start point to new players, but from what I've seen it's relatively poorly visited. I'm curious if anyone's still poking around this place and if it's worth registering and trying to make this wiki live a more decent life, or if it's really just dead.

I am aware of and have enjoyed the wiki at modthesims2, but it's my impression that one is more geared towards custom content producers and consumers. We could focus on getting the basics down better, explaining some of the more obscure parts of the base game itself; as well as serving as a starting point (yes, I'm repeating myself; sorry) for new players by giving them some idea of what the game can do, and which expansion packs do what.

If anyone thinks that's a worthy project and would like to do that, please let me know here. --86.104.40.153 06:34, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
