:I Would Think It Refers To Gaining Traits At Age Up, Just Written In A Confusing Manner. Either That Or To The Traits Like Firefighter And Such [[User:Adi Waco|Adi Waco]] 17:35, November 4, 2009 (UTC)

Please change this statement:
Line 9 ⟶ 13:
"''There are 63 traits in the base game. Three were added with [http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/The_Sims_3:_World_Adventures The Sims 3: World Adventures] and four were added with [http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/The_Sims_3:_Ambitions The Sims 3: Ambitions] for a total of 70 traits.''"

There are more than four traits already introduced. Savvy, Eccentric, Dramatic, Environmentally Conscious, and Perceptive. and i think there are more to come... change it to something not definitive of the number of traits to come with ambitions... that's all...<small>—Preceding unsigned comment added by [[User:The understudy|The understudy]] ([[User talk:The understudy|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/The understudy|contribs]]) - Sign your comments with <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki></small>

==Removed Traits==
I've been taking a look at the game files and currently through the animations file and so far have found SEVERAL animations belonging to cut traits including the default animation for 'Materialistic' though the other animations are possibly re-used in traits that made it to the retail game.--thelamppost 22:22, June 7, 2011 (UTC)
*Never-Mind the animations were all re-used by the retail traits they were merged under even the defaults, for example grumpy has two default animations the grouchy 'grumpy' animation and the depressed 'gloomy' animation, snob has three default animations and so on.--thelamppost 16:15, June 26, 2011 (UTC)

==Savvy?==

All the interviews that have mentioned the so-called 'Savvy' trait have called it 'Savvy Sculptor', leading me to believe that that is the trait's actual name, not just 'Savvy'. The capitalisation of 'Sculptor' supports this theory.<small>—Preceding unsigned comment added by [[User:Kiwi tea|Kiwi tea]] ([[User talk:Kiwi tea|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/Kiwi tea|contribs]]) (UTC) - Please sign your comments with <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki></small>

How do you know if a sim has a hidden trait? [[User:UBFunkaneer|UBFunkaneer]] 05:03, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

From the way they behave (i.e: you'd know if a sim was a pizza appreciater if they get the       "amazing meal" moodlet from eating pizza, or by a burglar sim sneaking instead of walking). hope this helps! from simsgothgirl[[Special:Contributions/90.222.255.141|90.222.255.141]] ([[User talk:90.222.255.141|talk]]) 19:19, December 9, 2013 (UTC)

What about the Rich trait? I've noticed from someone that came into my household, while talking to the child of the household, that the child has the "rich" trait. What does this mean?[[Special:Contributions/173.171.228.34|173.171.228.34]] 15:11, July 27, 2010 (UTC)
:I think the message just states that the family or sim is rich, it's based on when the total items of the sim's home gets over a certain value. It is not a hidden trait, it is set per household. ==Mummy and Simbot Trait Icons==

The "Mummy" and "Simbot" traits have icons, these are the best pictures I could get of the icons:

[http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii131/eduardog3000/Snapshot5.jpg Mummy]

[http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii131/eduardog3000/Snapshot4.jpg Simbot]

:Are you certain they're not just placed there by the mod? Do you have a link to the mod? '''--[[User:Duskey|<span style="color:#344790;">Duskey</span>]][[User_talk:Duskey|<span style="color:green;">talk</span>]]''' 01:03, September 14, 2010 (UTC)

No, the mod just shows all the traits, it did not add pictures to the trait (i.e. the pic was in the game files), also the apparent official in-game name of the mummy trait is "Mummy CUT??" (written exactly like that), the only mod being used here is the [http://ts3.tscexchange.com/index.php?topic=4219.0 Master Controller] (I think that is the right link)--[[User:Eduardog3000|Eduardog]][[User_Talk:Eduardog3000|3000]] 01:24, September 14, 2010 (UTC)

==Multiple Cultural Traits==
Hi all, I was wondering if a sim can have multiple Cultural Traits and Cultural Abilitys at once. Like, can a sim have the ability eat with chopsticks AND greet sims with the dual-cheek kiss? Or sing both Egyptian and French songs autonomously? Also, if a sim can have multiple Cultural Traits at once, can they pass all of them on to their child if they have one or only one of the traits? Should we add an "Upcoming traits" section, or something of the sort, to give some information about the new traits coming in ''Late Night''? ([[Shy]] and [[Star Quality]]) --[[User:Random Ranaun|Random Ranaun]] 05:55, September 25, 2010 (UTC)
:At this point it might be a better idea to just add them to the table. Is there anyone who has ''The Sims 3'' for [[The Sims 3 (iPhone)|iPhone]] and [[The Sims 3 (mobile)|mobile phones]], who can add the traits that are exclusive to those games? —[[User:Random Ranaun|<font color=green>Random Ranaun</font>]] <small>([[User talk:Random Ranaun|<font color=lime>Talk to me!</font>]])</small> 00:18, November 14, 2010 (UTC)
:I added ''The Sims 3 iPhone'' traits to the table, but, I'm not sure how accurate it is. Also, are there any traits exclusive to ''[[The Sims 3 (console)|The Sims 3]]'' for console? —[[User:Random Ranaun|<font color=green>Random Ranaun</font>]] <small>([[User talk:Random Ranaun|<font color=lime>Talk to me!</font>]])</small> 02:36, November 14, 2010 (UTC)

== Removed Trait ==

Removed traits are never talked about. I actually like the removed traits since they even have their own images, compared to existing hidden traits with no image. I think it's such a waste if it's never discussed and eventually forgotten. Say, who would think Rude is just like Inappropriate? And why is Greedy scrapped due to Frugal? If these traits actually come with the game (excluding Wanton and Nude), what Sims would possibly have these traits?[http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/User:Nikel23 Nikel23] 15:57, January 30, 2011 (UTC)

Does anyone think that there should be packages for traits like say a package called Motherly Instinct where the mother has Neat, Family- Oriented, Good, Natural Cook, and Friendly or something for Elders where it might include Green Thumb, Angler, Family-Oriented, Friendly, Etc. does anyone think that these packages should exist and we can make are own i mean wouldn't that be AWESOME! no more nit picking.<small>—Preceding unsigned comment added by [[User:XzArandomZ|XzArandomZ]] ([[User talk:XzArandomZ|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/XzArandomZ|contribs]]) (UTC) - Please sign your comments with <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki></small>

: Well, I don't think so. If it exists, it means all mothers would be typical for having exactly the same traits with other mothers, while the purpose of traits is to give every Sim different personality. You can, of course, presume what a mother should have the ideal traits for your game or Sim. [[User:Nikel23|Nikel23]] 05:23, June 15, 2011 (UTC)

==Conflicted Traits==
I am a bit confused with some statements about trait conflicts. It's said that [[Couch Potato]] will conflict with [[Disciplined]], but when I checked it in [http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Sims_3_Traits Simswiki game help] (which hasn't been updated since ''Late Night'') and [http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/traits/ Carl's Sims guide], they didn't mention it. I'm wondering if any of the sources or the article itself is correct. I'm not sure whether the two sources are reliable either. == Traits by age ==
Any Chance there is a way we could add a by age table or section of some kind? I can't find a complete list of that information anywhere and I think it is important.  = [[User:Zefiewings|Zefiewings]] ([[User talk:Zefiewings|talk]]) 00:29, February 7, 2013 (UTC)
:Some individual trait pages state at what age they are available from, but not all of them. That age table would be a really good idea, if anyone had the time and energy to create one! ~ [[User:Waikikamukow|<font color="6a2286">Waikikamukow</font>]] <small>([[User talk:Waikikamukow|<font color="00b0f4">Anyone wanna chat?</font>]])</small> 02:56, February 9, 2013 (UTC)
::I've actually created a table of trait by age for myself in Excel. Right now we already have a table for traits, so it'll be redundant to have 2 tables for traits.
