William the Conqueror?

William the Conqueror belonged to the House of Normandy and his wife's name was Matilda (Mathilde in French). Should it be noted that the couple is most likely named after the first Norman king and queen of England? 92.36.184.231 15:10, August 4, 2011 (UTC)

The names of Anne Norman's parents are Henry Anjou and Eleanor Anjou; Henry II was the first King of England to belong to the House of Anjou (aka Plantagenet), the dynasty that succeeded the House of Normandy, and Eleanor of Aquitaine was his wife. I am not certain that this is not a coincidence. 92.36.205.112 19:56, August 5, 2011 (UTC)
