William Norman is one of the pre-made, yet unplayable ancestral Sims that resided in Veronaville in The Sims 2. He was the husband of Mathilde Norman, the father of Richard Norman, the grandfather of Albany Capp (né Norman), and the great grandfather of Miranda, Hal, Desdemona and Ariel Capp.

William's gravestone does not exist within Veronaville, so he can't be made playable without the use of hacks. As a result, the only indication of William's existence is provided by the family tree of his descendants.

William has no memories of his wife, and although he has the memory of doing WooHoo with Mystery Sim, he doesn't have the memory of Richard's birth. So basically apart from the WooHoo memory, he only has Create a Sim memories.

He wears the Mayor's outfit, which is uncommon for pre-made deceased Sims. According to William's SimDNA in SimPE, his hair was blond before it turned grey.

William shares his name with William the Conqueror, the first King of England who belonged to the House of Normandy, while his wife Mathilde shares her name with the King's wife, Matilda of Flanders (French: Mathilde).
