Miranda Capp is the eldest daughter of Goneril Capp and Albany Capp, and the eldest sister of Hal, Desdemona, and Ariel Capp. Her biography states that she is cynical and rebellious. Miranda's younger sister Desdemona Capp, wants to be like her, and she is her role model. Her cousins are Tybalt, Juliette, and Hermia Capp. When the first is first played, Miranda is 13 days from becoming an adult.

She is the only pre-made Sim from the base game with custom hair, as her hair is golden blonde with dark brown highlights. Even though Miranda has blonde eyebrows, her SimDNA in SimPE shows that her natural hair color is red. She also has the recessive allele for green eyes. Despite the family feud, Miranda has a crush on Mercutio Monty, but the feeling isn't mutual. Her family can be found in the Family bin and can be moved anywhere in the town. She will often want to get a job in the slacker career.

Oddly enough, her father Albany's memories place Miranda as the family's third child (Hal and Desdemona come first and second, respectively; Ariel is fourth). Goneril's memories place the children's births in the correct order. When editing in SimPE, Miranda's zodiac sign is not recognized. This could explain why she doesn't have a zodiac sign mismatch in-game like most pre-made playable Sims from the base game do.

Miranda is the magician Prospero's daughter from Shakespeare's The Tempest.
