:I don't think so. Neighborhoods in TS3 operated on a similar mechanic to those in TS2 and TS1, whereas TS4 worlds are an entirely new thing that hasn't existed up to this point. In The Sims 3, you could use the term "world", "neighborhood" and often "town" interchangeably to refer to the same thing, whereas in TS4 neighborhoods and worlds are not one in the same. -- <font color="navy">LostInRiverview</font> <font color="green">talk</font> ~ <font color="green">blog</font> 19:49, June 14, 2014 (UTC)

::It's true that "worlds" in The Sims 4 is different on its own because the mechanism of how the town works in this game is different also. A "world" consists of several "neighborhoods", that consists of several lots (SimGuruGraham, a developer, heavily emphasizes these terms a lot so we don't get confused) and so on and so forth. Clearly it's not very comparable with the other games' town system.

::But frankly, the work of "worlds" in The Sims 3 is quite different from The Sims 2 in many ways, which is constituted by the mechanism of "open world". If you separate The Sims 4 "worlds" from the other series, it's unfair if you don't separate The Sims 3 "worlds". The Sims 3 Worlds

If we are to have a separate article of worlds from neighborhoods, it makes more sense if The Sims 3 worlds are kept here, not neighborhood. The term "world" has been used since The Sims 3 too. Nikel Talk Vote! 08:49, June 14, 2014 (UTC)

It's true that "worlds" in The Sims 4 is different on its own because the mechanism of how the town works in this game is different also. A "world" consists of several "neighborhoods", that consists of several lots (SimGuruGraham heavily emphasizes these terms a lot so we don't get confused) and so on and so forth. Clearly it's not very comparable with the other games' town system.
