TheSims.com was the official home of the first The Sims game. It held information on all the expansions for this game and The Sims Bustin' Out.

It featured free downloads such as Maxis created tools, game updates and a few in-game items. When the site was in its prime, there were regular chats with people from Maxis; the old chat transcripts were archived. There was also a fansite directory, which was primarily of archival/reference interest, though some listed sites were still available at the time the site was taken down.

As of August 20, 2010, the site is no longer available, though direct links to tools still appear to work, and the forum (BBS) is still accessible via a direct link. Reading the BBS requires registration, but it is not known if that is still possible. All other attempts to access thesims.ea.com/us/ redirect to thesims3.com . Much of the content which was available should still be available at SimEchoes.
