Players with any expansion pack or compilation released after Deluxe do not need this patch, and should not download it.

Installation

Please do NOT interrupt the installation of the patch. The patch is for North America and Europe.

Patch notes

  • Many memory leaks have been fixed. This will alleviate game stability problems when playing the game for an extended number of hours.
  • A number of game processes for Windows XP users have been sped up, which means they will spend less time waiting and more time playing the game.
  • Corrupted skins will no longer crash the game. Invalid skins will now show up in the game as a plain white skin.
  • Load times have been improved for all systems getting users into the game quicker than ever.

Important notes

  • If you have Unleashed, or a subsequent expansion pack, you do not need to install this patch.
  • Please note that you must run The Sims at least once before running the Sims Deluxe patch.
