This page lists specific rules put into place for existing users by Administrators. These users have likely been troublesome in one way or another yet seem to want to contribute in good faith and as such, are given specific additional restrictions based on past behavior, tendencies to act disruptively, etc.

The rules here are to be dealt with by Admins only. If you see one of the following users causing trouble in one of the listed manners, please inform an admin ASAP.

Active Restrictions

Below is a list of active restrictions on problem users. Users may be moved to Probation if they show good behavior for a reasonable amount of time since the institution of their restrictions or last block.

Corymach7

Instated by: GG iTalk iEdit
Overview of Problems Since registering, it seems that Corymach7 has been trying to work with rumors regarding future titles within The Sims series. While that is not necessarily a bad thing, the issue lies with the fact that Cory has been creating numerous prediction forum threads about fictional, either dismissed rumors or his own creations, entries to the series and despite several warnings, he still seems to persist by even going as far as creating a false rumor on an external forum and trying to pass it off as an official announcement. Based on his contributions in general, it seems that Corymach7 has made some good faith edits and could potentially be a very good asset for The Sims Wiki in general but unfortunately his persistence in adding false rumors has become quite problematic.
User Restrictions
  • Cory must not create forum threads predicting what would be in an expansion/stuff pack which has been unconfirmed. Failing this will earn him a 1 day block and repeating the offence will get him another block double in length from however long his last block was (i.e. 1 day → 2 days → 4 days and so on).
  • Cory isn't banned from working with rumored titles. However as a general wiki-wide guideline, he must cite reliable sources for any rumors he adds to the wiki. Any non-sourced/unreliably sourced rumors should be reverted and Cory should be warned by an administrator, followed by the blocking system listed in the above restriction if he persists.

Probation

Users listed here have shown good behavior and are to be released from their restrictions pending an additional 30 days of good behavior. Users must be reasonably active during these 30 days in order to be parolled.
