Every month on the 1st, The Sims Wiki counts the votes made for [[The Sims Wiki:Featured Article/Voting|Featured Article]] & [[The Sims Wiki:Featured Media/Voting|Featured Media]] and places the winner on the main page.

The Sims Wiki regularly chooses '''featured content''' to be displayed on the Main Page and other portals. Use the navigation box to see the current featured content, vote for new featured content, or see past featured content.
Since July 2010, The Sims Wiki is also running a bi-monthly featured contest. A poll runs for a month to decide which contest should be featured and the next month we feature the winner. You can add your ideas for featured contests here: [[User blog:Bleeh/Next Sims Wiki contest thing?|Next Sims Wiki contest thing?]]. You can nominate your own [[The Sims Wiki:User Created Contests|User Created Contests]].

==Continuous features==
At times the poll might be skipped if there's a featured contest we'd like to do before it's too late. Such as an example was the [[The Sims Wiki:Featured Contest/Past Contests#August - Name for Downtown in Late Night|contest]] to find a name of the, at the time, unnamed new [[Neighborhood]] coming in ''[[The Sims 3: Late Night]]''. Sadly [[EA]] chose the name [[Bridgeport]] halfway through the contest.
The following are always featured somewhere on the wiki, and are updated regularly.

==Voting guidelines==
# Under the "Votes" Section, place the name of the content you wish to nominate in between three equals signs as follows: <nowiki>===Content Name===</nowiki>. EVERYONE and ANYONE is free to choose ANY article (excluding those that have already been featured (Check past content first). If the article you want to vote for has already been nominated, proceed to step two.
# Place <nowiki>#--~~~~</nowiki> underneath the nominated article. The code will automatically convert into your user name and the time of your vote. '''You must sign your name.''' Comments can be placed between "#" and "<nowiki>--~~~~</nowiki>".
# '''Do NOT vote for the same content more than once.''' Each bullet (#) counts as a vote.
# Please add new nominations to the '''BOTTOM''' of the list.
# In the case of media, it must be uploaded to or embedded on The Sims Wiki.

It's a good idea to see how other nominations are added before adding your own.
