This page exists for formal nominations for Featured Contest. Before any voting can take place on a contest, an administrator or bureaucrat must review the contest being nominated and determine whether the page is worthy of Featured Contest. Once an article has been properly nominated, an administrator will open the nomination up to comments while they review the article to see whether it is fit for Featured Contest. After review of the article, an Administrator will perform one of these options:
# Approve the contest and open up a new sub-section for votes
# Deny the nomination, while citing what reason(s) the nomination was denied.
If a contest nomination is denied, it cannot be remade for three (3) months.

*At the beginning of each new month, an administrator will determine the nominated contest with the most votes - each vote will count as +1 or -1 towards the total votes for the contest. The contest with the highest vote total ''may be'' selected as the Featured Contest.
*If, at the beginning of any month, a contest has more votes against it than votes for it, it will be immediately re-reviewed by an administrator, who may choose to stop voting on the contest and deny or postpone the nomination, or may choose to allow voting to continue.
*All contest nominations expire three months after the last vote for the nomination. If a nomination expires, it may be immediately re-nominated by any user, and will proceed through the process outlined above.
*''Administrator override'' - An administrator may override the votes for a featured contest for a particular month for one of three reasons:
#The contest, since its nomination, has declined in quality to a point where it is no longer Featured Contest quality
