The Sims Wiki is pleased to announce the first annual Plumbbob Awards for excellence in user-created Fanon and Fan Fiction!
- What are The Plumbbobs?
The Plumbbobs are awards given for user-contributed fiction content to the Fanon Namespace. There will be several categories of awards that contributions can fall into. Each category will be open to community nominations, as well as nominations from our panel of judges. After nominations are over, the judges will, in secret, determine the winners.
Each awards category will have three winners. The third-place winner will receive the Emerald Plumbbob award, the second-place winner will receive the Golden Plumbbob, and the grand prize winner will receive the Platinum Plumbbob award.
- Who are the judges?
Judges haven't been chosen yet. Do you want to be a judge for The Plumbbobs? Any active user may apply to be a judge, and judges will be chosen by community vote prior to the end of nominations.
- Where can I nominate fanon/fiction?
We're still preparing the awards, so we're not quite ready for nominations yet. Check back here to find out when we are, and to receive instructions for how to nominate!

These awards were created after this and this discussion on the Community Portal. The name 'Plumbbobs' was selected as a compromise name, as many many great names were suggested. Presently, many of the details of these awards have not been determined, as the awards have not been given out before. Please see the talk page to give input into the management of the awards.
