I don't think that would be a very good idea. I think because there would be loads more of vandalism, but I'm just an IP so what do I know? :) [[Special:Contributions/74.216.88.170|74.216.88.170]] 03:10, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

Licensing

Hey, I was just looking through here and noticed that a lot/most/(all) the images aren't licensed which brought an alarm to my head. Considering Wikia's image policy, I thought I should alert all of you guys will need to start licensing your images. I know it may be a tedious task, so I will offer the service of my bot to automatically add the appropriate license to all the image pages. I'll let you guys decide what you do, but you do need to license your pics, good luck. Cheers! ~Joey~ ^Talk^ 07:46, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

§

Hi just wanted to say I think a reminder to place the symbol § when talking about simolones. --Limemabean 18:42, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

About removing The Sims 3 info before final release

EA has confirmed[1] that the leaked version is missing many aspects that will be in the final game. --a_morris (talk) 21:54, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

For future - Reference

I received this message from a concerned The Sims Wiki editor:

Just a heads up A Morris. I was on the forum at Snooty Sims and somebody got some wrong info about the Sims 3 from wiki. It was about Mama Lothario being in the Sims 3. Now everyone on Snooty Sims is giving the Sims wiki a very bad representation.

In the future please back up your claims with credible references. Use <ref>Insert text here</ref> to create a reference and use {{Reflist}} or <references/> to display them at the bottom of the page.

References can be press releases, newspapers, magazines, speakers at events. When making a reference provide a link, the name and date of the publication, or the name of the speaker and the name and date of the event.

If you see something that requires a citation you can flag it using {{Fact}}.

For more information, see Wikipedia:Citing sources.

As with other sites, using information and images from other wikis should be cited. And copying and pasting entire sentences is considered plagiarism. --a_morris (talk) 17:54, December 5, 2009 (UTC)

Featured Users

Bleeh My daddy is the richest man in all of Belladonna Cove!

This doesn't really have to do with anything technical, but I was just looking through the list of featured users and saw my name. I was really surprised and am so thrilled! I would like to thank whoever accidently put my name there and hasn't yet changed it. :D
That is not an editable page. Active users just get their names on there automatically. - JEA13 [iTalk] 14:26, January 13, 2010 (UTC)

Eh, well I'm happy anyways. :D

Fanon wiki

Ok, after you hear this, I know that some of you may think that I am crazy, but I think we should merge The Sims Fanon Wiki with The Sims Wiki. Hear me out, at the Avatar wiki, they have merged their fanon wiki with the main one. While this was initially a controversial move, they claim that it paid off, because their wiki has many more contributors and visitors, making it much more active. I think we should merge these two wikis because with The Sims 3: Ambitions coming out in June, we will need to make our wiki known to people, preferably before the release. Another reason is that I have noticed that the activity of the fanon wiki went down for a while. What better way to bring the activity back up than merge it with a more popular wiki? Thank you for listening to this and please tell me what you think. --Random Ranaun 03:05, April 5, 2010 (UTC)
