In The Sims 3: Ambitions trailer, it shows an Inventor walking into a machine and then coming out in "rags" with spears shooting at him. This is assumed to be a Time Machine which has never been featured in The Sims Series before, excluding Don Lothario's time travel mishap, which (although extremely likely) hasn't been confirmed.
