The unborn Jones puppies are the unborn litter of Lucy Jones and Sam Whitt, born at the end of Alice's Story in The Sims Pet Stories. Since pets can't get married, the puppies will have their mother's surname and will not live with their father, since he is a part of a different household. However, if the player chooses to develop Alice and Thomas's relationship and have them move in together in free play, the puppies will be able to live with both of their parents.
