Once the twins are born, the household will be at full capacity, since they live with their parents, three older siblings and [[Dora Ottomas|paternal grandmother]]. Therefore, the option to try for or adopt a baby, or to invite another Sim to marry or move in, will not be available until the household is reduced by one - usually after the death of Dora, or when David goes to college or moves out.

 

There is a known glitch associated with the Ottomas twins, where the father in their family tree will be a random Sim instead of their supposed father, Peter. This has caused some players to believe that Samantha has been unfaithful (despite the fact that she is a [[Family (aspiration)|Family]] Sim, and that it is her husband who aspires to [[Romance]]). However, since the "father" on the family tree is never consistent - and often observed to be biologically or chronologically impossible (e.g. a female Sim, a teen or child (sometimes even a baby), an NPC (e.g. [[Hula Zombie]], [[Grim Reaper]]), a long-deceased Sim, a Sim from another neighbourhood entirely, or, disturbingly, a pet) - it is more likely that this is simply a game glitch, which can be fixed by editing the twins' family trees in [[SimPE]]. Installing The Sims 2: Seasons patch also fixes this glitch.
