Unborn Ottomas babies: Difference between revisions

There is a known glitch associated with the Ottomas twins, where the father in their family tree will be a random Sim instead of their supposed father, Peter. This has caused some players to believe that Samantha has been unfaithful (despite the fact that she is a [[Family (aspiration)|Family]] Sim, and that it is her husband who aspires to [[Romance]]). However, since the "father" on the family tree is never consistent - and often observed to be biologically or chronologically impossible (e.g. a female Sim, a teen or younger, a special NPC such as the [[Hula Zombie]] or [[Grim Reaper]], a long-deceased Sim, a Sim from another neighbourhood entirely, or, perhaps most disturbingly, a [[pet]]) - it is moremost likely that this is simply a game glitch, which can be fixed by editing the twins' family trees in [[SimPE]]. Installing ''The Sims 2: Seasons'' [[The Sims 2: Seasons/patch|patch]] also fixes this glitch, but it will only fix instances of the family that hasn't been loaded in the Family Bin, or hasn't been moved in yet. If the neighborhood was loaded with the family in the Family Bin, or if the family has been moved in already, the bug will not be fixed. If the bug is ignored, neighborhood corruption may occur.
