About me

I've been playing the Sims since before Livin' Large came out, though I never did get all the expansion packs. When Sims 2 came out I moved on to that version and enjoy it even more. What I enjoy in particular is getting the Sims to combine into families and have kids, though the fact that I also seem to want to play every single Sim in every neighbourhood means that it goes a little slowly. I spend most of my time on Pleasantview, as well as a few smaller custom neighbourhoods, but I'm beginning to tackle Strangetown and Veronaville as well. To get some idea, in Pleasantview I've almost finished graduating the Sim State University prebuilt Sims, as well as some Sims who weren't even born when I started the game, like Cassandra and Darren Goth's eldest son.

I wonder sometimes if when I get Sims 3 I'll abandon Sims 2 and never look back, or if I'll keep playing the old version. Sims 2 was a huge step above the original Sims, with the potential for creating entire family trees; can Sims 3 really be that much of an improvement on that? (I'm reminded how I loved the game Civilization, got a little tired of Civilization 2 but still enjoyed it, and never even finished a game of Civilization 3...)
