Sims can either play for fun or for money. [[Child]]ren can play games for fun, but cannot play for money. Each Sim that loses a game that is being played for money will lose §100, and the winner will receive all of the money from around the table; thus, the more people that play a game of mahjong at one table, the greater the earnings for the winning Sim.
Much like the [[poker table]], the mahjong table must be surrounded by four chairs in order to function correctly. The chairs can be placed and removed separately. If the player picks up and moves the entire mahjong table, the chairs will automatically move with it.
It has a [[Fun]] rating of 9 and an [[Environment]] rating of 5.
