The Sims Wiki Hey guys! This blog branches off of this talk page message regarding a copyvio of The Sims Wiki, amongst other Wikia-hosted wikis. The purpose of this blog is to assure the community and readers of TSW that this isn't worth worrying about. I'm aware that a fork discussion with an intent to copy this wiki has caused distress and worry (I couldn't find a better term) amongst users although it turned out to be nothing in the end. It has happened across several wikis and I know that at least one person is reporting this to Wikia staff as the duplicates don't credit the original source whatsoever. Even if it wasn't a direct copyvio, the chances that the "337" group would maintain a successful wiki farm would be slim as Wikia is more dominant on Google results. So like I said, don't worry about the situation as Wikia staff are working on this and we shouldn't let it distract anyone from maintaining and improving this wiki. Happy Simming/Editing! :) |
