Stiff as a Board, Light as a Feather Dance Collection

Another premium content, the Stiff as a Board, Light as a Feather Dance Collection, has been released in the store! It's a collection of a ballet barre and a dance floor. That's right, ballet! Sims, from children to elder, can now practice ballet with the ballet barre! The barre apparently builds Athletic skill, while the dance floor builds the new Dancing skill. Sims can practice the following dance on the dance floor: Club Dance, Ballet Dance, Chicken Dance, Mascot Dance, Smustle Dance, and Dance with a Partner.

The ballet barre is a reminiscent of Generations ballet afterschool activity, and the dance floor... looks similar to Late Night dance floor. Now, I'm wondering if these items are compatible with those features. Can children learn Generations ballet moves with this ballet barre? Can we practice dancing with Late Night dance floor like this one? It's gonna be irritating if they leave them out to oblivion!

The store recently has made similar patterns; their premium contents are not sold separately, and they can only be gained by purchasing their venues. Personally, I've never wanted their overwhelming venues, because they're huge, taking too much space they don't need, most of the furnishing are impractical (like, chairs everywhere?), and it takes time to render the heavy lot, making the game load longer. There's one good thing from this venue, though, especially for builders. The venue includes some glass roof (technically count as roof decor), which can be used to make skylight ceiling / roof. It's pretty much similar to the glass roof that came with Stone's Throw Greenhouse. This made me concern when the greenhouse roof didn't keep the weather elements out. :/

It looks like Louvre museum at first sight. The Skylight Studio for the Performing Arts costs 1,900 1,700 (on sale until July 6) SimPoints. The venue / set also includes some clothes, gym equipment, a hot tub, a locker, and another communal shower! I've heard the communal shower makes the sliding door sound even though it has no doors and it still can only be accessed from its side.

What do you think about this set? Is ballet dancing worth it? ;) Nikel Talk Vote! 12:01, June 21, 2013 (UTC)

ETA: I saw a screenshot over SimsVIP's twitter, and apparently, this set actually adds the Dancing skill in the skill journal. Now, I don't know if this is the same hidden Dancing skill we know, but un-hidden, or a completely new and different Dancing skill. Either way, it would stink because un-hiding is useless when it can't be used in any career or doing anything else. I'll try to look for more info later. Anyway, here's the icon. ETA 2: The Dancing skill apparently is a separate skill from the hidden Dancing skill, the one that's always been there since base game. It means, even if you've mastered your hidden skill, you'll have to start all over again to master this skill. Nikel Talk Vote! 10:58, June 23, 2013 (UTC)
