Week of December 7th, 2014

Hi all, I'll be writing the news for this week. There's a couple of things to cover so let's have a look:

Update reminder - extreme copypaste edition

As reported last week and the week before that and for the last month or so, another TS4 update is set to be released next month which contains two new careers, namely the athletic and business career paths. Additionally SimGuruShannon posted this screenshot on Twitter, showing a couple of the items that will be included in the update.

Hints to new expansion pack

A couple of hints about a new expansion pack were posted by a voice actress on Twitter after she had done some work for EA. While these tweets have since been deleted, they are still viewable through a few fansites, such as this article, courtesy of SimsVIP.

New Wikia header introduced

The Wikia header which was unveiled a couple of months ago has been made mandatory. This header has had what can only be described as a negative reaction. Read more about it in this thread.

Discussions to comment on

A couple of things exist that I would like to get a bit more discussion on in the forums. Feel free to leave your input.

As always, a full list of discussions can be seen here. If you feel it necessary, any user is allowed to make a discussion.

Want to help?

I post this every time and as usual this won't be an exception, however I'd like to add something extra this time. The Sims Wiki, like any wiki, is only as strong as its contributors. And, if you feel like you are at the point where you think you would do well with more user rights, you are free to request them. A common trend I've noticed and would like to mention is that users tend to wait until they are nominated before applying for rights. While doing so is completely fine, remember there is nothing wrong with making a request of your own. We're always looking for newsletter writers, so sign up if you want to try your hand at it. In addition, user rights applications are open as always, which is always something to consider.

If something is missing or if you've found a mistake, or if you want to share your thoughts, post them in the comments and I'll get to them when I get the chance. ђ talk 05:14, December 7, 2014 (UTC)
