The Sims 2 did it the best way, IMO. Merging multiple features into one expansion pack is something EA should have always done. I just loved how Apartment Life was "more than what was listed on the tin". It really felt like EA cared about this expansion pack instead of announcing a new EP three months later that was small enough to be merged with an existing one. Well, aside from the incredible bugs and glitched in AL.
