I don't think the sims should become more difficult. I like it how it is to be honest. I love that you can be imaginative and creative with the game and just kick back without getting frustrated, that's the selling point for me personally. It would be interesting if it became more 'real' however. Not to the point it became depressing or anything, but if there was 'religion' like in the sims medieval, or you could vote for a sim who was in the politics career, or even (I'm not sure if it would be seen as taboo) but there are no sick or disabled sims? You don't get sims in wheelchairs! The sims thus far have almost lived in a utopia of perfect health beside the odd sniffles.
