The Dutch Sims Wiki

Congrats on getting admin on the Dutch Sims Wiki.

Our wordmark is made by Erry; if you ask him, he might be willing to make you one as well. Our favicon is at File:Favicon.ico. Go there, save the icon to your machine, and use the Theme Designer on your wiki to add it.

If you have any other questions, send me a message. -- LiR speak ~ read 17:11, October 31, 2012 (UTC)

Re:The Dutch Sims Wiki

To answer all your questions, these changes are all things that have to be done in your wiki's css (cascading style sheets) pages. The main .css is at MediaWiki:Wikia.css. Your wiki does not have that page, so one will need to be created here. You can create it by adding or importing css code, such as the code from our css page. I unfortunately am not the best person to talk to about css coding, so if you encounter any problems with it I won't be of much help.

Also, I apologize for the late reply. I had gotten your message along with another one and forgot that you had sent me a message at all. I'll try not to let it happen in the future. -- LiR speak ~ read 08:36, November 21, 2012 (UTC)

Wordmark

Sorry that I didn't reply in a month, I was busy working on an event for my Wiki. I'd be happy to make a logo, just not right now. Probably after New Year's because I have to run this event up until the end of December. So if you can wait until then, I'm all yours. --Erry (talk) 12:50, December 2, 2012 (UTC)

Okay, since the competition is over I can make your logo. It'll probably be done before the 15th, I'll also make a fanon one which you can keep for when you end up having a fanon section. --Erry (talk) 23:46, January 6, 2013 (UTC)

Template

Hi, I'm just wondering why you would create a custom template of yours rather than existing template like {{Simbio2}}? :) It's not prohibited, but I want to know since Simbio2 would probably provide all the parameters. Nikel Talk Vote! 13:39, December 25, 2012 (UTC)

Ah, you're right. I wonder why it was designed that way in the first place. In that case, sure you can keep your template. I may want to tweak it a bit in the future, just so the template can be used globally without having to use 2 different templates. Nikel Talk Vote! 13:54, December 25, 2012 (UTC)
{{Simbio2}}, along with {{Simbio1}}, {{Simbio3}}, {{Simbio-start}}, and {{Simbio-end}}, is used when a Sim appears in multiple games/neighborhoods. There are certain parameters that are not included in these infoboxes, such as the family members, to avoid duplicate input. The only visible difference is that they don't have header, where Sim's name usually appears, nor footer. Nikel Talk Vote! 11:08, December 26, 2012 (UTC)
