With the introduction of Daylight Saving time (or 'Summer Time'), matters are complicated as times in participating areas are an hour ''ahead'' of 'standard time'. So, where the Eastern time zone is typically 5 hours behind UTC (if it's 5:00 pm at Greenwich, it's only Noon in New York), during Daylight Saving (early March to early November), this is an hour shorter (4 hours behind)
For North American users, I will be testing all 6 United States time zones, as well as the Canadian 'Atlantic Time Zone' during the period of daylight saving time - September 15th. To complicate matters, the state of Hawaii, which is an hour behind Alaska during standard time, is at the same time as Alaska during daylight saving, since Hawaii doesn't follow the practice. Therefore, the zones being tested are:
