RE: Clothing[edit source]
How about using Chat in this wiki? I'm not always there, so let me know if you want to see me there.
Well, recategorizing clothing is rather simple, if you do it carefully. There are 2 known ways to change the clothing categories: manually changing it with S3PE, or using Twallan's MasterController. Do you have either of those?
If you want to use Twallan's MasterController, you can read the FAQ here. Scroll down and read "I want to be able to use any of the clothing in any category, how do I do that ?" section. It says you can unlock all clothing from one category to another (e.g. wearing underwear for everyday), but it doesn't allow generated Sims / townies to wear them. It's for your personal use only, personally, I won't use it since it will clog up my CAS menu. CAS is already cluttered with too many clothes, IMO, but it's up to you. You can get the mod here. - Hey, don't worry. You're not being ignorant. If you want to ask anything, just ask. I'll be glad to help you as much as I can. :)
- If you want to use S3PE, I can help assist you with that too. Since you're new, I think you're not really familiar with the tool, but if you're confused about something, I'll clarify it for you. Oh, I forgot to mention it. You need S3OC in order to see the thumbnail of the CAS part. If you only use S3PE, you can't see the thumbnail of the clothes. Nikel Talk – Vote! 03:21, July 9, 2013 (UTC)
I appreciate your taking the time to help, and sharing your wisdom and knowledge with me. you will have to forgive my ignorance on this matter, as i am still very new to sims 3 and this kind of moding lol. i am fromiliar with the original sims, where you edited outfit type by changing the file name lol and object viewers were used to tweek content, and their interface was very simple...TBH this is all a bit more tha ni am used too. i have not tried S3PE, but i will download it right now Mitsurugi2424 (talk) 18:49, July 8, 2013 (UTC)
