You can also disable rich-text editing. Click on the MORE button that should be at the top of each page, and select Preferences. Select the Editing tab, uncheck the box labeled "Enable Rich Text Editing", and click Save. Once you've done this, you should have no more problems with pages that use templates. == Re: Resurrecting a sim that has a dead token in their inventory? ==

I ''think'' the "I am Dead" token is something that tells the game to treat the Sim as dead. I also think it gets managed when resurrecting a Sim via in-game methods such as the Resurrect-O-Nomitron. I don't know about using the Tombstone of L&D to resurrect a Sim, or about using SimPE to remove the token, but I'd be leery of trying it. You might want to ask in one of the Forums.

FWIW, the [[Resurrecting tips]] article mentions that the Capps and Montys can be resurrected if you first move their graves to a community lot.

Sorry I can't be of more help. [[User:Dharden|Dharden]] 00:51, July 7, 2010 (UTC)

== Broken template ==

You had a broken userbox on your userpage, but I took the liberty of fixing it for you. Take care! '''[[User:Duskey|Duskey]]'''<small>([[User_talk:Duskey|<span style="color:green;">talk</span>]])([[User_blog:Duskey|<span style="color:blue;">blog</span>]])</small> 10:37, July 10, 2010 (UTC)

== Re: Aresi Cho ==

I don't have AL, so I can't check, as I can't see it from behind. I did tag it with a <nowiki>{{confirm}}</nowiki> template, and started (OK, tried to start) a discussion about it on the talk page. [[User:Dharden|Dharden]] 01:45, July 14, 2010 (UTC)

== Custom Content ==

If you put it in any of the Program Files\EA GAMES\ folders, it's in the wrong place. It goes in <br />Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\ (My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\ , if you have XP or earlier). Also, the name '''has''' to be Downloads - first letter capitalized, everything else lowercase. [[User:Dharden|Dharden]] 23:24, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, the option to display custom content in catalogs and the option to enable custom content are separate. You need to set it up to show the "enable custom content" screen when you load the game, and you need to check "Enable Custom Content" on that screen. [[User:Dharden|Dharden]] 23:28, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

:There are two game options that relate to custom content. One is "Display Custom Content Dialog at Startup". That turns on the dialog that lets you disable or enable custom content, but that dialog only appears at startup. The other is "Catalogs Display Custom Content". That allows custom content to appear in Buy and Build mode - as long as custom content is enabled, but I don't think it affects custom clothes.

:Also, if you're downloading content as zip, RAR, or sims2pack files, you need to extract the .package files. [[User:Dharden|Dharden]] 02:41, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

== Re: Custom Content, Mods, and hacks ==

OK, extracting from a zip, RAR, or sims2pack is not "going inside files" in the sense I think you mean. Those types of files are ''made'' to hold other files, and to let people extract those files. Sims2pack was made for TS2, and double-clicking on a sims2pack should install the files in it. Zip and RAR have been around since the days when 56k dialup was <u>''fast''</u>, and zip files are what Windows calls "compressed folders". They're the ones that have the zipper icon. Click on one, and it should open just like a real folder, and you should be able to treat the files in it just like the files in a real folder. Drag-and-drop for sure, probably copy-and-paste. The only catch is knowing which ones to extract.

As for creating aliens in CAS, I haven't tried it myself. I suppose it's possible that the alien eyes don't unlock as they should, or that eyes and skintones each have to be unlocked separately, but I'm guessing. Maybe you should mention this in [[Talk:Alien]] and/or a Forum - see if anyone else has noticed this. [[User:Dharden|Dharden]] 20:39, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

== Re: Why? ==

Sim's gender preferences start out at 0/0 - in other words, they have no preference. Unlike Real Life, the gender preferences of Sims will slowly shift as they have romantic interactions with others, so a playable Sim's preference is pretty much up to the player.

Aside from skin tone, you can't really tell what born-in-game Sims will look like while they're babies. If they turn out ugly, there's not much you can do until they become adults and are able to use the plastic surgery station - and that's only there if you have University. If your Sims become a mass of deformed pixels, then your game is probably hosed.

What are you finding that's glitchy, and how is it glitchy? (Question: are all your TS2 expansion packs patched?) [[User:Dharden|Dharden]] ([[User_talk:Dharden|talk]]) 19:34, July 18, 2010 (UTC)

== Re: Glitches Caught ==

[http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/2184/scriboniaglitch.png The glitched death memory] is what Pescado refers to in his nocurruptdeath mod. It's nice to finally see a picture of it. You can probably remove the memory with SimPE, but they way to '''prevent''' them is to use the mod. That means learning to deal with zip files/"compressed folders".

After thinking about it, I think you probably can remove the dead token from Cordelia's inventory. As far as I know, tokens aren't supposed to be visible in a Sim's inventory. That it is, and that she's alive, would seem to indicate that it's not being used as a token.

The relationship above 100 can probably be adjusted in SimPE. I don't know for certain what could have caused it, but since you mention the Sim Modder, I suspect that it may not be fully able to handle pet relationships. (The Sim Modder is something I leave strictly alone.) [[User:Dharden|Dharden]] ([[User_talk:Dharden|talk]]) 14:19, July 19, 2010 (UTC)

Are you '''sure''' the teen-to-adult hug you showed isn't a "friendly hug"? According to the Prima Guide, that can go from any age to any age, except for babies and toddlers. [[User:Dharden|Dharden]] ([[User_talk:Dharden|talk]]) 16:38, July 19, 2010 (UTC)

::Ummm.... yeah. Teens should only be able to "Squeeze" other teens, and adults should only be able to do it with other adults or elders. [[User:Dharden|Dharden]] ([[User_talk:Dharden|talk]]) 21:54, July 19, 2010 (UTC)

== Re: I don't think it's right.... ==

It's only in Sims 1 that ghosts can't go up stairs. In later games, they can, though they don't always do it.

I'm skeptical about the idea that the gender of the baby can be affected by the gender of the parent that initiates the "Try For Baby", but I don't '''know''' that there's nothing to it. As far as I know, cheesecake is only for ''Open for Business'', and only affects number, not gender. [[User:Dharden|Dharden]] ([[User_talk:Dharden|talk]]) 01:01, July 24, 2010 (UTC)

== Re: Please tell me that isnt true ==

I use AVG Free, which is pretty good for free AV software, and it's never complained about Wikia. It's a big site, and I suppose it's theoretically possible that somebody, somewhere, at some time, ''might'' have gotten something from a wiki or (more likely) an ad, but I don't think you have anything to worry about. It's also possible that this "someone" noticed that they had a trojan sometime after visiting a Wikia site, and assumed that it came from Wikia.

I'm not in a position to '''know''' if that's true (keep in mind that admins are volunteers), but it Norton isn't complaining, I'd put more stock in that than in what "someone said". [[User:Dharden|Dharden]] ([[User_talk:Dharden|talk]]) 01:24, July 26, 2010 (UTC)
