I guess you have to be a crazed sims fan to know. Lol! Mrs. Crumplebottom has been around since the Sims Hot Date. Anyone who owns the complete collection of the Sims knows her first name is Agatha. Become apart of the Sims Community,visit the BBS Boards. Go to the most visited and top downloaded websites on the net, for the Sims, the Sims2 or The Sims 3.If worse comes to worse.. Google her. Agatha Crumplebottom or Mrs. Agatha Crumplebottom. You can even find her signature handbag for download at MTS2, that any Sims 2 character can use to clobber someone with. Even your resurrected Agatha. Yes, to answer that question too. I have no "dead" sims in my Sims 2 game. All the so called non playable sims with no character data in the Sims 2, are playable too. Flamenco and Nighat Caliente, Nicolo and Adriana Lothario, Bob and Betty Newbie, Jeff and Diane Pleasant, Flat and Flo Broke, the "real" Skip Broke just to name a few. I have resurrected all of them in my game. If you are a modder and know how to use SimPE, the possibilities are endless. Knowledge is power, and how you use that power is up to you. And I believe the "Miss Crumplebottom" in Hot Date is not the "Mrs. Crumplebottom" in The Sims 2, I mean, how old can she get? There is a possibility, but who would marry an old bag with an old bag?

I have, I'm not denying that her name is Agatha, I just want to know where does it say that her name is Agatha. I believe there was a video in Youtube saying that her name is Agatha, and I'm waiting for a response from the author of the video.

I can't remember where I read about her name, but I know her name was posted in a thread. I think it was on the old BBS Board for the sims website. Do you remember it? I'm sorry.. someone keeps deleting my post on the page for Mrs. Crumplebottom. Its funny he still hasnt answered my question or proven to me that Agnes is Mrs. Crumplebottom.

Agatha is the Mrs. Crumplebottom from the Sims Hot Date.. if she was Agnes then Mrs. Crumplebottom would be related to Mortimer Goth. But Mortimer has no relation to Agatha. Its spelled out in the transcript. Agnes is a distant relation to the orignal Mrs. Crumplebottom of Hot Date. Thats what Lyndsey stated in the transcript. Do you have proof that Agnes Crumplebottom is actually the one and only beating hand bag and all Mrs. Crumplebottom?

Agatha is just a Fanon name!

And I don't need to answer your question, just read the chat transcript.

Agnes is the Mrs. Crumplebottom from the Sims Hot Date. Then, in The Sims 2 (25 years later), she would be dead, and she is (and burried in the Goth cimetery)!

Mrs Crumplebottom (Hot date) is a distant relation to Mrs Crumplebottom (NightLife).

Mrs Crumplebottom (Hote Date) = Agnes Crumplebottom (TS2) = Agnes Crumplebottom (TS3) and Mrs Crumplebottom (Nightlife) is a distant relation.

I mean I visit and read transcripts off the Websites when they are available. You know the Sims BBS Board the original Sims EA Website. Really its not relevant when Tim Letourneau and Lyndsey McGaw answer questions on the transcript.. Lyndsey states Agnes is a distant relative to the original Mrs. Crumplebottom. The Family has strong genes. Mrs. Crumplebottom from Hot Date and nightlife are one in the same. Where does it state that they are different people? I've read all the transcripts from Maxis on the original Sims site and the Sims 2 website. I have not read up on anything that Agnes Crumplebottom is the hand bag old lady. I've read stories from fans thinking that, but they are left with the same response. Mrs. old hand bag lady from the Sims Hot Date and the Sims 2 Nightlife are not Cornelia, Prudence or Agnes. Do you have any proof that either of the old hand bag ladies from hot date and nightlife are not one in the same. Do you have proof that she is Agnes? If so why would Ea or Maxis kill Agnes off in Nightlife? If you think or believe it is Agnes to be Mrs. Crumplebottom the one and only hand bag lady that beats the crap outta people.. then your theory has way to many loop wholes. There would be way to many questions. Also, like If Agnes is the Miss Crumplebottom in Hot Date. Then who is The Mrs. Crumplebottom in Nightlife? Agnes is deceased in Nightlife. Why would she dress so differently from the hand bag lady to with pursed lips, to a straw sunbonnet and a black dress? Why would Maxis completely have two hand bag ladies. Besides in the Sims 3 Erik Darling is the unfortunate spouse who died to Agnes Crumplebottom and supposedly Robert Crumplebottom is the spouse to Agatha Crumplebottom the handbag lady from Hot Date. The is a memorial in Downtown or Robert Crumplebottom.

Hot Date : Is Miss Crumplebottom, could be Agatha or Agnes. Nightlife : A distant relative, still a relative of Mortimer because the Crumplebottoms are also Mortimer's family. A distant relative still means that she is a relative, ok? The Sims 3: Agnes Crumplebottom, which is (perhaps) Miss Crumplebottom. And I'm not against anyone or denying someone else's theories, I just want to know how is her name Agatha, ok? Simple.

Ok... We know that Miss Crumplebottom (Hot Date) is not Mrs Crumplebottom (Nightlife) for 2 reasons:

1) The chat says that they are distant relative

2) In The Sims Hot Date, Miss Crumplebottom is old, so 25 years later, she is dead, so she can't be Mrs Crumplebottom (Nightlife).

So Miss Crumplebottom (Hot date) can't be Mrs Crumplebottom (Nightlife) but she can be Agnes.

But, think what you want, i'm tired... and Agatha is just a fanon name!!!

Your reading too much into this really. Author of the question in the transcript is just as confused as you are . He is asking two questions. How does Mrs Crumplebottom work? Ok when the Sims 2 first debut, the question was asked who was Mrs. Crumplebottom. Every Fan presumed that she was either Agnes, Prudence or Cornelia. All proved to be false. Maxis stated that Mrs. Hand Bag lady Crumplebottom is a distant relative to Agnes Prudence and Cornelia since the Sims debut. I'm just trying to understand why you think they are two different people. I dont understand, when its practically obvious. I've stated pretty substantial proof. But If you want me to believe what you think is true you have to have proof. Its like if I stated on the Sims Community board and posted Melissa Jones is related to the Jones Family. I have no proof because there is no proof.. Their family trees would not be compatible nor their family history, memories etc.

Agnes is the aunt of Mortimer yes, but Mrs. Crumplebottom cannot be of any relation to Mortimer because she is not found in his memories or relations. So I just want to know why is her name Agnes. So what she lived 25 more years. People can live to be 100.

Mrs Crumplebottom (Hot date) and Mrs Crumplebottom (Nightlife) are 2 different people because the chat says that they are distant relatives.

But, you're right, I don't have the proof that Mrs Crumplebottom (Hot Date) is Agnes. But it's sure that the 2 Mrs Crumplebottom are different!

Posted on the Sim 2 Website..explain this then

Though unlike Hot Date, Nightlife has a much more detailed cityscape. The town itself also includes extra features that create a city, such as Resturants, Nightclubs, Bowling Allies, Bars, and Entertaiment Complexes. Although this game has no new families, it does have a cast of new characters that can be moved into a family and can overall help or hinder a Sim's dating experience.

A new feature similar to The Sims: Makin' Magic is the Vampire citizens, who become playable once you marry one. This theme has a Gothier approach to the fan-based game.

Mrs. Crumplebottom, who appeared in the first game, returns and is still alive after all these years. Though tradtionally she always gives every Sim she comes across to a hard time. She is a parody to the Grouchy old Lady you see occasionally while in a Resturant or a Bar.

The Fortune Teller or Matchmaker can be both nice and cruel; it depends on if you have the money for her to come in contact with your soul mate. If you have 5,000 Simoleons to pay her, she will get ahold of your soul mate, meaning the Sim that has the most in common with another. But if you are too cheap, she will get ahold of someone who is the polar opposite of your Sim.

You can also buy Love Potions and other items through the Matchmaker service.

Count and Countessa (Non-Playable, Unless you Marry him or her) Vampire Sims who will bite the necks of other Sims and turn them into vampires as well if the relationship is strong enough. Only seen at night. Mrs. Crumplebottom (Non-Playable) Walks around dowtown lots and chastises Sims who show public displays of affection. The Diva and Mr. Big (Non-Playable, Unless you Marry him or her) Two very rich Sims who are very hard to find and even tougher to date. The Slobs (Non-Playable, Unless you Marry him or her) Polar opposites of The Diva and Mr. Big. Waiter staff (Non-Playable, Unless you Marry him or her) Those working in restaruants, bars, and other downtown establishments

And... ? ok It said "Mrs. Crumplebottom, who appeared in the first game, returns", but it's the character who returns (the old fashioned lady) not necessarely the sim himself...

They don't look quite the same 2. Miss changed to Mrs 3. Age Though all of this could be possible. Now I'm just wondering if only we could ask Maxis?

Lol.. I'm sorry.. Hopefully as Sims 3 matures,.. maybe just maybe, hopefully, possibly they will delve into the mystery of the old bag lol. . My theory is on existence so long is 1) she got a hold of the elixir of life or 2) shes just a really cranky old bag that won't kick the bucket and its Maxis way of putting a lil humor into the game. Lol. They have had her on this long maybe they will reveal a lil more of her relationship to the rest of the Crumplebottom and Goth family, and why for heaven sake she goes around beating the tar out of everyone lol. I have the Sims 3 but I haven't loaded it on my pc yet. I've just been doing alot of reading. Time will tell. For a subtle yet outrageous NPC Mrs. Crumplebottom really does keep everyone guessing let alone on their toes. Lol. I'll see if I can scrounge around and find out about her name. I know it is a fanon name Agatha, but it has been so many a moons ago since I have even been on the original sims site. Let alone over thousands of websites pertaining to the Sims and the Sims 2. Its hard to keep all of them straight in the shuffle lol. Its just that once I read that her name was Agatha, I kinda never forgot it.

well the Miss factor to Mrs. could be like the same as.. did you notice the horoscope changes from the first sims game of Mortimer and Cassandra, they were changed in the Sims 2. Gunther Goths changed too I believe and Cornelias zodiac stayed the same. Micheal Bachelor was a Libra in the Sims and in the sims 2 he is a Leo. Thats like why is there two Skip Brokes. I was reading up on Skip just before I came to read Mrs C. the real skip broke has dark blue eyes which I knew that, and I had always wanted to resurrect him and I learned how reading through many many threads and posts and blogs lol. And then I just gave it the old trial and error, with many saves and backups. I did it.. all by myself, well and with SimPE. An actual theory, that I have is, maybe there is some evident curse upon the Crumplebottom/Goth family Frida Goth is the sister of Gunther Goth and there is no evidence of her marrying. Agnes Crumplebottom in the Sims 3 her husband had an unfortunate accident on their honeymoon. Then Mrs. Crumplebottom is seemed to be tied to Robert Crumplebottom his memorial being in Downtown and then the chandelier mentioned in Vacation. Cornelia is the only one that has actually succeeded in producing any actual descendants to the Goth Family.

Well Agnes in the Sims 2 looks nothing like Agnes in Sims 3 whoow.. both need a definite makeover lol. ;)
