The Alto Family first appeared in the "The Heist" trailer when the parents were arguing with each other because Mr. Alto let his sloppy side show. This suggests that they are an argumentative family, giving a hint towards their traits. It seems that they have a business feud with the Landgraab Family, being a Nouveau Riche family, that is. Their last name is a pun on the television show, The Sopranos. It has been revealed that they are the 'bad guys' in town. The residents of Sunset Valley will have to pick the side of either the Altos with their uptown ideals or the Goths more traditional views.
Onomatology
Alto: "lower range of a woman's voices, or saxaphones" "the range between soprano and tenor," "a singer whose voice lies within this range."
- Ginia: variation of Virginia, "maiden."
- Vita: variation of Victoria, "life."
- Nick: - Nicholas refers to the Greek Goddess of Victory, Nike.
