This feature is not to be confused with the option to play instruments together in ''[[The Sims 2: University]]''. In Late Night, you are able to form a formal band with a name and are able to receive gigs if you have self-employed at least one of the band members.

If a Sim in a band is having a conversation with another band member, there will be an option to change the name of their band or to kick the other Sim out of the band.

*Completing Gig Master challenge does not have any effect despite its description saying it boosts earnings from performing a gig. Having The Next Big Thing lifetime reward does, however.
