A barrier rope is an object in The Sims 3: Late Night. It is used to restrict Sims from a room or band venue. When placed on a community lot, a barrier rope summons a bouncer who protects against Sims attempting to trespass.

The Small Barrier Rope and Large Barrier Rope are in the community objects section in build mode. To set permissions, enter build mode and hold Shift and Ctrl while left-clicking on the rope. Setting the Set Access Level option to "Limited" allows the player to customize the access restrictions. The player can customize the celebrity level, occults option or bribe amount, controlling the demographic that can enter the bar.
