In the Sims 3 you can bike.

Bikes require two components for your sims to have them. First, you must have a bike lock (80 Simoleans) and secondly the bike itself. The bike goes into your sims inventory when they take it into town, and returns to your sims bike lock when they return home.

Bikes have a speed rating of two.
