Bot arena is a career featured in The Sims 3: Into the Future. Sims can be employed from the newspaper, computer, or plumbot competition arena. This is one of the only two career tracks that Sims can be employed in Oasis Landing, with the other being astronomer career. While this career requires bot building skill to advance, only one of the career branches needs it. The first five levels before choosing a career branch only require mood and relationship with boss as performance factors, making it quite easy for advancement.
This career has two branches, which are arena mechanic and arena official. Arena mechanic branch requires Sims to master bot building skill as well as perform professional tune-ups to plumbots. Arena official branch requires Sims to master charisma skill as well as promote the competitions to other Sims. Additionally, only the arena official branch has coworkers. Once Sims reach level 6 of either branch, there's no need to build relationship with the boss anymore.
On entering the arena mechanic branch, Sims gain the ability to perform professional tune ups for plumbots, which is also one of the performance factors. Plumbots who receive a professional tune up will receive higher maintenance need, and benefit the "Tuned for Competition" moodlet that increases chance to win a plumbot competition. Sims will also gain double amount of money from performing professional tune ups than regular ones. As Sims reach the top of the career in this branch, they can oversee competition production on plumbot competition arena between 5 PM and 11 PM, that lasts for 2 hours. Sims will be rewarded money between §1,000 and §3,000.
In the arena official branch, Sims must promote competitions to other Sims for their performance factor. At the top of the branch, Sims can scout plumbot prospect that lets Sims assess a plumbot's quality, number of trait chips, and mood, which will reward Sims money based on those factors. If the plumbot has any of the following trait chips, it will also add more bonus to the money reward:
- Algorithmic artist
- Sentience
- Office drone
- Mood adjuster
- Efficient
- Holo projector
- Fear of humans (this trait chip will reduce the amount of bonus instead)
Basically, the reward from scouting plumbot prospect would range from §200 to §1,000. After being scouted, the plumbot will be forced to visit the plumbot competition arena.

- Work Hard - Increases performance faster but adds stress.
