In most games, as their last name suggests, they are fairly short on [[Simoleons]]. == The Sims 2 == In ''The Sims 2'', the Broke family resides in [[Pleasantview]]. It consists of [[Brandi Broke]], widow of [[Skip Broke]]; [[Dustin Broke]], a rebellious [[teen]] street hawker going steady with [[Angela Pleasant]]; and [[Beau Broke]], a [[toddler]] who is not well learned in his essential toddler skills. When the family is first played, Brandi is pregnant with her [[Unborn baby Broke\|third child]] from the deceased Skip. Brandi is also the daughter of [[Bob Newbie\|Bob]] and [[Betty Newbie]], a married couple that was introduced in ''[[The Sims]]''. However, she does not appear in ''The Sims'', likely because she hadn't been born yet at the time. As the name suggests, they have a monetary situation, supposedly because Brandi has just lost her husband and source of income. The family has around §930 in funds, which wouldn't be so bad if it had any source of income other than Dustin's teen job. The family has a net worth of around §25,000, and Brandi does have one or two things which can be sold for cash, but that's not a long-term solution to the family's financial problems. ~~====[[Player stories]]====~~ The Broke family has a box of [[pizza]] in their house at the start of the game, though in some releases the box will be empty. * In my game, Brandi married John Burb, and while they live in a big house, they have a whopping nine children (including Brandi's first three children) and are both unemployed. Unfortunately, Beau died of starvation as a teenager and one of their children, Courtney, was taken from them before John gt a low paying job in buisness. == The Sims 3 Store == ~~Dustin married Angela, after knocking up Jennifer Burb, and they now have three children.~~ === Riverview === In ''The Sims 3'', the Broke family lives in a small "caravan park" in [[Riverview]]. They are the poorest family in the town and their caravans are very cheaply decorated. They share a similar economic status to the [[Crosby family]]. In the Riverview graveyard, there is a grave of [[Bernard Broke]], who drowned as an adult. He may be the father or brother of Flat and Buck, but he does not appear in the family tree. During their time in Riverview, it is clear that Flat, Flo, Ruby, and Buck only work part-time jobs with low pay. This could be an explanation for their poverty. * In my game, due to the unfortunate accident of her husband, I made a Native American Sim named Talon Agnes, and they married had four children and now they rest peacefully six feet under a Willow tree in the backyard. Of all of the family members in ''The Sims 3'', only [[Flat Broke\|Flat]], [[Flo Broke\|Flo]], and Skip are mentioned in ''The Sims 2''. What happened to the others is not known. No members of the family appear in ''[[The Sims]]'', though all of them except Flat and Flo are young enough to have been alive during that time. * In my game, Brandi marries [[Dina Caliente]], becoming the first gay couple in Pleasentview. Brandi also moves to a much larger house and adopts a baby girl named Jasmine. In ''The Sims 3'', almost all Brokes have either the [[Slob (The Sims 3)\|Slob]] or [[Party Animal]] traits. This is probably why none of the adults can hold a full-time job. Skip and Mary Lu (who is a Broke by marriage) are the only ones who don't have either of those traits, possibly due to them not being actual Brokes by genetic value. All Brokes, with the exception of Ruby and Skip, wear cheap clothes and enjoy electronica music. * In my game.....Brandi got a job in Culinary and i turned the aging off and SAVED up 30,897 dollars! They moved to the house across from the Pleasants and had her baby 'Dan'. I turned the aging back on and Beau grew into a teenager and Dustin improved his grades and is now studying in college!!! === Lunar Lakes === * In my game when Brandi Broke was cooking a Baked Alaska she dropped the match and her butt caught on fire. Then, on beau's b-day after he was done blowing out the candles Dustin threw away the cake and gave beau a noogie. He went to bed with out doing his home work or gaining skills for his job so the next day when he got home from work he was charged $5000 and he was demoted 2 levels down for killing some one. Then he got an F on his report card so I moved him out and he can't see anyone until his grades are up to an A+ and he has the money to pay the hospital. The end. [[Octavia Broke]] is a homeless Sim who resides in [[Lunar Lakes]]. It is plausible that she is a descendant of the Broke family due to her surname and the fact that many other Sims in Lunar Lakes are descendants of other SimNation Sims. She, however, lacks the slob and party animal traits and appears to be of a different ethnicity. == The Sims 4 == [[Dustin Broke (The Sims 4: Get Famous)\|Dustin Broke]] is a homeless sim introduced as a celebrity in ''The Sims 4: Get Famous''. He appears to be different from Dustin Broke from ''The Sims 2'', as they have a different body type, eye color, and different age. Unlike ''The Sims 2'' and ''The Sims 3'', he has a decent amount of simoleons. in my game brandi has a baby boy named dustin jr.,beau grows up they move into a new house,i'm still trying to find ~~brandi a husband but every on knows she is a ideit~~ {{FamilyPage For the unnamed child, I kinda figured that since the unborn baby is the male form of Brandi, (since it's always a boy with all of Brandi's genetics) I named him Brandon. Dustin turns his life around and marries Angela and Beau grows up to be a successful, rich business man. By the time Brandon becomes a teenager, he has already maxed out his creativity, which he did as a child and sold a masterpiece just before he turned into a teenager.
