Bubble bars are similar to oxygen bars or waterpipes in real life. They provide a lot of fun for up to four Sims at once.

The Sims 1

Bubble bars were first introduced in Sims:Livin Large. They cause Sims to giggle and satisfy Fun need.

The Sims 2

Bubble bars in the Sims 2 cause Sims to giggle and levitate. They satisfy the Fun need of your Sims.

The Sims 3: Late Night

Bubble bars in The Sims 3: Late Night have six different flavors. Though each flavor costs the same in every venue - §15 - each affect Sims differently. In order to get the effect of the flavor, Sims must spend a couple hours blowing bubbles uninterrupted. Be sure not to let a Sim pay for using the bubble bar too close to closing time or they'll have to leave before the effect sinks in.

  • Banana: Gives the 'Banan-ahhhhhhhhh' moodlet for 2 hours, providing +15 mood.
  • Chocolate: Gives the 'Chocolate Chuckles' moodlet for 2 hours, providing +15 mood. May also increase a Sim's success with telling jokes.
  • Cotton Candy: Gives the 'Sugar Rush' moodlet for 4 hours, providing +15 mood and allowing them to ignore a low Energy motive.
  • Mint: Gives the 'Minty Breath' moodlet for 2 hours, providing +5 mood.
  • Pineapple: Gives the 'On a Beach' moodlet for 2 hours, providing +15 mood.
  • Strawberry: Gives the 'Social Strawberry' moodlet for 2 hours, providing +15 mood. May also provide some bonus for building relationships.

Banan-ahhhhhhhhh +15 2 Hours Bubble Bar (Banana) (Sim Name) is going bonkers for banan-ahhhhhhhhhs! Appears after using the bubble bar for an extended period of time.
Chocolate Chuckles +15 2 Hours Bubble Bar (Chocolate) Sims can't resist the infectious laughter when a case of Chocolate Chuckles is going around! Spread the giggles with a good joke. Appears after using the bubble bar for an extended period of time. May possibly increase the quality of jokes.
On a Beach +15 2 Hours Bubble Bar (Pineapple) It's hard to stay stressed when there are Pineapple-flavored bubbles in the air. Sims can practically feel the sand between their toes! Appears after using the bubble bar for an extended period of time. Eliminates the "stressed" moodlets (motive bar fills half-way, sim still gains fun at normal speed)
Social Strawberry +15 2 Hours Bubble Bar (Strawberry) Someone has a case of the social strawberry! (Sim Name) is the life of the party...everyone enjoys having him around. Appears after using the bubble bar for an extended period of time. Talking to a Sim with negative relationship will immediately change it to 0 (neutral). Relationship buildup is 4 times faster.

Trivia

  • The bubble bar can produce shapes if the player practices it for a little while; a llama, plumb-bob, star, heart, and regular bubble are the possible shapes: a sim playing with bubbles gains the secret Bubble blowing skill.
