A collection is a compilation of in-game folders that include a set of objects, that by default come from with the installed [[Content pack|expansion or stuff pack]]. It can come either as dedicatedspecific for thea pack or for thea theme that features exclusive items from. Such folders can include justmost abouttypes anythingof items from buy or build mode.

Players can even create theircustom owncollections filledwith folderscustom by giving it a name, choosing a logonames and adding items to the listicons.

Some of the store sets in ''The Sims 3 Store'' automatically add collections to the buy mode upon installation, whichfor includethe items in the set.

''[[The Sims 3: Movie Stuff]]'' is the only pack for ''The Sims 3'' that does not have collectionsa collection.
