Cameras are objects introduced by The Sims 3 World Adventures. Like the computer, which is necessary for the writing skill, Sims can't practice the art of Photography without cameras. They can only be bought in Al Simhara.
There are different cameras, and some take a higher quality photos. They are expensive objects, as the cheapest camera (the SnapTastic Flimsy Cam) which is adapted to newbies and beginners, costs 250§, and one of the more expensive models (the Hikon QX40di Gladiator) costs 3,250§.
Some features about cameras:
- There are filters that the player can change, by clicking on 'F'. For example, the sepia filter gives to the picture an agreeable atmosphere of nostalgia. The better skilled in the art of the Photo, the better are the photo quality and the amount of filters.
- There are three sizes of photos: little, medium and big, like for the paintings and they can be portrait or landscape.
- It is reported that the best cameras can't be used by newbies. As with some books being too complicated to be read by Sims who begins in a skill, better cameras can only be used by Sims with a higher skill in Photography.
