Category talk:Sims without interests
I think I've heard C.Syde65 saying that there aren't exactly Sims with no interest. Sure, they might have zero interests when looked in SimPE, but their interests will eventually be randomized when they're spawned in the game. I think it means that this category isn't exactly accurate; Sims just have non-fixed interests by default, and not that they don't have any. I think it's enough to mention that they have randomized interests in the respective articles, just like how their skills and careers are randomized. Nikel Talk – Vote! 05:39, January 24, 2014 (UTC)
- Yes there are Sims whose interests are randomized at the start of the game. But they actually had no interests to start with. The game automatically gives interests to each of these Sims, the first time they are individually spawned on a lot. C.Syde65 (talk) 05:52, January 24, 2014 (UTC)
- It means it's the same as townies who have no skills or careers to start with, because those will be randomized the second they're spawned in the game. These are mentioned in the articles without much emphasis, unlike interests. Besides, the game never allows any Sims to have any interests or full interests. Sims always have to have interests. I do recall being able to take away all interests and skills a Sim has with BoolProp testingcheatsenabled, not to mention having them quit their job. This does tend to work without the game re-randomizing everything again. It works most of the time anyway. C.Syde65 (talk) 06:17, January 24, 2014 (UTC)
- It works with emptying the interests? I honestly didn't know that. I knew that maximizing all interests won't work; the points will be re-randomized. I believe you can make the townies quit after they have been initialized. But if they are unemployed in the files before you even play it, they will have job. There's a difference in that.
