Cleo is friends with [[Leod McGreggor]], but their [[relationship]] is only at the acquaintance level and he doesn't consider her a friend. She has the [[Fortune]] [[Aspiration (The Sims 2)|Aspiration]]. Cleo is of Japanese descent on her father's side (and of English descent on her mother's), as her last name, her ancestors' names (Itsumi, Tesuo, Nobutaka) and her appearance shows. Strangely, Cleo has black hair and brown eyes, even though none of her relatives have either of these features (except her aunt, Catherine, who has brown eyes).
Cleo is perceived to be a copy of [[Dina Caliente]] from [[Pleasantview]]. Both have the same aspiration, and are roommates of another female Sim, although Cleo and Dina do not share any physical similarities. While Dina is already romantically involved with [[Mortimer Goth]], and has a crush on [[Don Lothario]], Cleo doesn't start off with any romances, despite the Maxis story-line pointing her towards starting a romance with Leod.
