The Sims 3 and The Sims Medieval are very different but somewhat alike.

The Sims 3 is a modern game where you play as sims in RiverView or Sunset Valley and you can design and re-color pretty much every thing in the game. Plus you can really go into detail when designing a family. The jobs in The Sims 3 are a lot like the jobs we have today. Like a mascot, scientist, or a chef.

The Sims Medieval it's based on the medieval times. So it's not nearly as mondern and fancy as The SIms 3. Plus the jobs in the game are a lot different. Some are a spy, wizard/sorcerer, monarch, a knight, there are also a couple more. When making a sim in The Sims Medieval the BIG difference is the clothing and hair.

When it comes to getting married in the Sims 3 all you do is raise the relationship and fall in love then propose. After that that sim joins the household. But in The Sims Medieval even when you get married that sim will still not be selectable. (unless you use cheats ) It's the same thing if you have children they won't be selectable and they won't grow anymore once their children. (They can be selectable with the use of cheats)
