The Sims 2: Bon Voyage and The Sims 3: World Adventures are both based on the concept of traveling, but there are several differences.

- Multiple hotels of various cost and standard; World Adventures merely contains one no-cost Base Camp.
- Unsavory Charlatan

- Vacation benefits (replaced by a positive moodlet when arriving home)
